The Distance Between is a 2021 feature-length documentary, the first ever for director Roberto Espinosa. It is a direct continuation of the 2015 documentary short Long Distance.

Amethyst Holman, now 23, and Kia Denise, now 22, have since ended their relationship in the three years since. Still, that will not stop them from finally being able to meet. With the help of director Roberto Espinosa and cinematographers Caleb Kurowski and Hannah Faris, the group set off on a road trip to Cleveland, Ohio to make Amethyst's dream a reality.
